V Liběchově na Mělnicku se v červenci a srpnu objevila sršeň asijská. Podle Agentury ochrany přírody a krajiny (AOPK ČR) zatím není jasné, zda se jednalo o osamoceného jedince, nebo zda se někde nachází hnízdo. Prosí proto veřejnost o pomoc při monitoringu invazního druhu, který likviduje včelstva i další hmyz.
