As young children engage in daily routines like dressing or eating, they often craft spontaneous songs. Such musical expressions not only showcase their creativity but also play a vital role in language development through rhythm and repetition. Parents should cherish these moments, allowing children the freedom to explore their song-making abilities without interference. Observing the themes in their melodies can reveal their interests and cognitive processes.

Despite their eagerness, many children struggle to stick to the schedules they create. This challenge often arises from a lack of self-regulation and necessary executive function skills. Research shows that cognitive processes can affect a child’s ability to recall and follow through with planned tasks. Parents should evaluate the feasibility of their child's plans and offer assistance to improve execution.

Young children often engage in repetitive activities, like lining up their toys, to make sense of their surroundings. This might appear peculiar at first glance; however, it serves as a valuable learning process. Parents should take note of their child's responses when changes occur in their play setup. If a child seems particularly upset, it may signal the need for a deeper developmental assessment.
