The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has decided to raise its key policy rate to 16%.
- Kyiv Post (Ukraine)17:47
NBU raised its key policy rate by 0.5 percentage points on Thursday, citing persistent inflation and mounting medium-term price risks tied to the war. August inflation accelerated to 8.1%, driven largely by fuel and tariff costs. However, policymakers said they are ready to ease, but only if the security situation cools demand.
