Loni bylo ve světě zavražděno celkem 124 klimatických aktivistů a ochránců přírody, uvádí zpráva organizace Global Witness. Nejvíc z nich přišlo o život v Latinské Americe. 39 aktivistů zemřelo v Kolumbii. Druhý nejvyšší počet obětí zaznamenala Brazílie. Na Asii připadá 12 procent vražd aktivistů.
