Unijna agencja graniczna Frontex podała liczby nielegalnych przekroczeń granicy Wspólnoty z ostatnich ośmiu miesięcy i porównała je z tym samym okresem w roku ubiegłym. Okazało się, że wzrost takich przypadków jest tylko w jednym miejscu. - Ceuta przypomniała jednak, że sytuacja na spokojnej granicy może zmienić się w ciągu kilku godzin - skomentował dyrektor Frontexu Hans Leijtens.

Irregular crossings along the EU’s Eastern Land Border route dropped 47% in the first eight months of 2026, with Frontex recording just over 4,000 detections. The decline coincides with extensive border fortifications across Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland, including Poland’s €2.3 billion East Shield project. Total irregular entries across the EU decreased by 35% to roughly 75,000, with declines recorded across nearly all major corridors except the Western Mediterranean route.
